"I must congratulate you on a fantastic concept. I actually spend hours a day along side my friends looking for child friendly outings/ restaurants where we can all meet every week. Living in London for coming up 6 years, I was not aware that there was so much to do and see alone, never mind with children." -
Bubele is looking for local editors in the UK who enjoy discovering activities to do with their kids and being in the know. Initial small time commitment that can increase depending on skills and interests.
Local Editors are Bubele’s eyes and ears on the ground. They keep users in the loop of activities and events happening in the local area via a fortnightly newsletter. And they enable local businesses to reach targeted customers by offering advertising and classified space in the newsletter.
- There are 3 local editor programmes available for editorial, sales and management. Depending on the Local Editor’s skills and interest, they can work on one or more areas of involvement. 2 types of profile could excel in this role: i) marketing, PR and journalism enthusiasts; ii) sales and business development. In addition, some parents who are already trusted members of their local community, with their own local networks, use the Bubele programme as a way to increase their commercial potential.
- Time commitment is roughly 2 hours per week for finding activities upwards, depending on the level of involvement the Local Editor wishes to have. This role really suits mums who want to dip their toe into the workforce again, or simply get their brains working in the right direction, or supplement their income. And given the topic is local activities, for those mums who are already active in the community with their kids, much of the “work” for this role can be slotted into conversations and activities you are already having.
