When I tell people on the telephone that my name is ‘Sophie’, they invariably think I’ve said ‘Stacey’…maybe my hybrid, London/Welsh /Yorkshire blend accent is to blame but either way, the name Stacey is not normally one which I hold much affection for ‘No, not STACEY! S.O.P.H.I.E’! Can often be heard screeched at the end of my road…
So imagine how much proverbial hat eating was going on when I received a gorgeous ‘Gousto’ box ‘lovingly packed’ by, yes you guessed it ‘Stacey’! What a flippin’ superstar I thought and how well-packed it was!

When the doorbell rang while we were eating breakfast one morning, we all glanced at each other eager-eyed. Our Gousto delivery was here. The big cardboard box was brought through and we opened it up, excited to discover the coming week’s culinary delights. We weren’t disappointed. There was a natural wool cool bag full of packed chicken, yoghurt, capers and feta; a paper bag containing root ginger, garlic cloves, spices and stock; tins of organic lentils and beans and neatly-packed mounds of nourishing veggies. From twelve meal choices online we’d picked Baked Mexican Bean Parcels, Two-Lentil Dal and Spiced Aubergine, Citrus Chicken with Caper Butter and Chicken, and Red Pepper and Lemongrass Curry. I couldn’t wait to get started.
